Another About page in the works… until then, here ya go!
Time for a short and sweet section about the small but ever-so-crucial details about the girl behind MikShorty.
My name is Mikael. Mom ordered the doctors to take me out one morning in October about twenty-something years ago since I didn’t come on the day I was supposed to. Two and a half years later, my brother popped out a couple of weeks early. No wonder we are so different.
Parents did the split when I was 4. Both are now remarried to my fabulous Steprents. Sibling Total: 1 biological, 4 step, and 2 half-step (if there is such a thing). 5 boys and 3 girls (me included). According to my mom, we’re the “all-american family”…
As of May 2011, I’m a college graduate. Through that, I’ve been fortunate enough to have had some of the best internships ever. I guess you could say that I’m very ambitious and work hard to get what I want. If you bring it up, odds are I will be pretty modest about it.
My glass is almost always half-full. I am and always have been slightly boy crazy. And in the words of Peter Pan, “I won’t grow up!” Well, not all the way at least. There are some moments where responsibility is required.
Singing is my life. Period. Had voice lessons for 15 years before the right side of my jaw locked. Hardest thing in my life I’ve ever had to deal with. It is still locked but currently very functional. Recording is like my crack and I post the end results on YouTube quite often.
That’s it for the low-down!
If you have questions, feel free to ask! I promise, I don’t bite.

Hey lady. I know you’re in SLC – (or assuming, because you go to UofU. Go UTES!) – but I am starting a writer’s group soon, and you’re free to join, if you don’t mind driving to American Fork. Just so you know.
